The community of Mdantsane, Eastern Cape experienced flooding during the January 2022 which resulted in the death of 10 people. A multitude of families were left being displaced, lacking food and shelter. As Kuma Foundation we undertook to provide aid and relief to the citizen of Mdanstane by providing food packages to the community.

Our Causes

Food Drive, is a food parcel initiative aimed at providing food safety for underprivileged community that face constant distress due to undue causes. We as Kuma Foundation aim to assist where we can by providing member with food to identified communities, families or individuals who are experiencing undue hardships.

These families are being assisted with groceries deliveries contain at least one-monthworth of nutritionally balanced meals for a family of up to 6. This basis is on a continuous short-term intervention.

In the community of Mdantsane we provided 20 families affected by the floods with food parcels.

Our team continues to identify individuals, families and communities in need. We aim to provide relief to at least 200,000 families between 2022-2032.

R500 can provide for a family of 6 with food support for a month.
